Hi there, I have been a regular visitor to your great forum, but decided it was time to take the leap and join - thanks for the acceptance.
I am the proud (and ofttimes frustrated) owner of a '94 300tdi Defender - Hector. We have been together now for about 3 years and I have just got him back on the road after a 5 month break due to a clutch failure. I finally got the time (and courage) to take everything apart fix the clutch (and the oil leaks) and put everything back together. I was rewarded with the sweet sound of the 300tdi purr when I first turned the key.
I live just south of the city of Perth in Western Australia. We have the Serpentine National Park surrounding our small estate and enjoy the kangaroos visiting our garden regularly. I enjoy taking Hector out along the old timber trails in the bush (just outside the National park).
I am looking forward to being a part of this forum and as I am planning a trip to England in a few weeks, I hope to pick up a few tips (and a few parts too). Thanks for having this Aussie (and sorry about the cricket!)
