In the middle of November 2012 I bought my first Land Rover, a Defender 110 HCPU. I traded my very fast, comfortable, safe and well equipped Saab 9-3 to get it. And compared to the Saab the Defender is contrary in every aspect.

And as rare as Saabs are in the UK they are common in Sweden. But you do not see Landys every day. And furthermore, I probably never will get stuck in this situation ever again.

The first blizzards hit Sweden this weekend. Well, let it snow...

Saabs are fairly common over here and have a fair following, particularly the 900/9000 (and later) turbos which are sought after for their performance potential when tuned.

Anyway, welcome and enjoy your new toy!

Thank you, I am sure I will enjoy it to the fullest. I will fit studded tires as soon as possible. It is compulsory to have M+S tires from Dec 1st when it is icy conditions. And it is now, to say the least. It is not common with snow this early here in the southernmost parts of Sweden. In the middle and northern parts there is almost half a meter already.

(As a Saab enthusiast, I am pleased to learn that I was wrong about the number of Saabs.)
