Glad to be here...

I bought a Defender a few years ago with the intention of making it into a modern truck, whilst retaining its original Landy character. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of the parts I wanted, so resorted to designing and manufacturing my own in my spare time. This developed into a little business here in Lincoln.

Some things I tried really worked well, some didn't, but that's all part of the process. When I came to fit a new dashboard for example, I tried various ideas before falling back on the Puma design. However, making a Puma dashboard fit into my 1988 Defender was an exercise in frustration and compromise. Once again, I decided to make my own.

So now we have the Puma Dashboard kit for older Defenders from 1983 onwards, fits in with 7 screws, uses the same electrics, the same heater and the same gauges. Straight swap.

Center panel starts out blank, so it can be cut to any variation of switches and head units, gearstick needs to be kinked to make the clearance but other than that it's an easy install.

Looks an interesting mod, having said that I quite like the look of the td5 dash in mine.

No idea what that means...

Pictures were taken during a photo-shoot we arranged down at Lincs Aviation. Nice backdrop for the 90 after it was built.
 
Enjoyed building it from scratch, and learned a lot along the way. Hardest part was getting the electrics to work after it all went back together. So many bad earths on it.
 
You did not want to spend a little more time on the bodywork?

It looks a bit bent up.........or was this on purpose?

I didn't want it pristine. Those marks show that it's had a life.

A 30 year old 90 should have some marks or it's not lived.

Used to be a Police 90 in North Yorkshire and each bump has a story.
