Any night other than tonight I'm free from about 5:30 in Guildford (Shalford). Would be good to think of where to go.. few lanes I've found around here aren't massively exciting..

You say you have been around Shere and Albury... Have you been down Ponds Farm Lane? I seriously doubt that you would get that Disco in your avatar down there with a front bumper :D
 
Hello to you all, I'm a noob here based in Crawley West Sussex so not too far from you boys and girls. I have zero experience at green laning but would love to give it a go. I work shifts so might not always be able to fit in with any planned adventures but will keep my eye on this thread in hope that I may be able to tag along should any of you want to venture out.

P.S Mines a standard 110 TD5

I'll be watching this thread too as a noob both to land rovers and green laning. Really want to try some easy green laning with someone who knows what their doing.

Based in South Godstone. Have a TD5 110 as well.
 
Hi all i know some great beginners lanes over near leatherhead (bookham) going over ranmoor common and on to lieth hill its a good couple of hours run so when your all free we can get together and drive them, You dont need any specialst kit so nice and easy so let me know ok, Steve
 
That sounds great, my only concern is that I am still on the Grabber 235/85/16tyres that it was wearing when it came off the production line. Should I wait until I can buy something a little more mud orientated?

For the lanes round here you'll be fine. All my laning is on Insa turbo rangers - like BFG A\T's
 
Right so how about we call it Sunday 2nd October? Suit everyone?

Tbh I've done a lot of laning on my own (yes I know lol) around Surrey, never got remotely stuck, not even a wheel spin, on standard tyres, with no other mods. We're driving land rovers, this is what they're for, regardless of tyre ;)

I'll have 2 Insa Dakar or similar on by then though :D Another pair next payday, haha. It's only cos I need a new tyre and they're cheap and beefy looking though.
 
Yes sunday the 2nd is good for me also, the more the merrier, where are we going to meet and what time, Rykas burger place at the bottom of box hill car park is a good place to meet if that suits everyone, maybe 10am?

Sorry, cant make that. Not only is it the same day as the L2B its also the same day as the Newbury autojumble which I shall be hoping to get some bits and pieces for the white shed. Newbury 4x4 & Vintage Spares Day

V8 man, sounds good to me. You know the route well then? How long would you think for the drive? 11am would be better if it's suitable, as out the night before :D Not a deal breaker though.

Fingers crossed I pass the MOT then :D
