trooperman, A few of us are heading your way on Saturday. You say the Grafham Water ones are closed, what about the Kimbolton lanes?
Do you know of the status of the lanes in Willingham?

Willingham lanes are closed. CCC now have increased powers over normal/seasonal TRO's to close this lanes as they see fit.

The signage says "No Motor Vehicles 1st Oct to 30th April or when barrier is locked closed".

Note the the final bit. This is not a seasonal TRO. The lane can be shut at any time. It's more like a permanent TRO with permitted access when CCC see fit, which may be never.

It hasn't helped that the gates were ripped out at least once.

If anyone else is in the Cambridge area perhaps they could PM me. I'm a member of the local GLASS group, but I'm always up for a bit more laning/pay+play sites.

It's good to see some like-minded people seeking greenlanes in Norfolk/Suffolk/Cambridge.
Yeah it's right about the Pedars way - most are BOATS. A good run used to be Swaffham through to Castle Acre.
Apparently there are also some great lanes in the Saffron Walden area.
It would be good to hook up one weekend with some of you guys. Anyone interested in a little green lane jolly get in touch.
Andy

There are some bloody good lanes out Saffron Walden way, Very tight and scratchy though.

I live nr Bury St.Edmunds and i'm also looking for some good BOATS.
I hear the Pedars way is definately worth a look. Thetford from me is approx 8 miles.
My S1 is an oldie but a goodie - i'm sure we will keep up :)
I have some annual leave starting middle Aug - approx two weeks and would like to get on some mud.
If any of you guys are interested in hooking up for a day's laning - please let me know.
Cheers, Andy

Thought I might as well say hi in this thread seeming as it has been bumped. I too would be interested if people were heading out in the norfolk area as that is where my landie resides a lot of the time atm!

I also live in this area. I am ordering my OS map today. I've never been on a green lane and I would really love someone with experience to come out and give me a hand. I just bought a Defender 110 Military 1986. It's ready for the roads, but I'm not entirely sure I am ready.

whereabouts are you?

I live in Eriswell, between Lakenheath and Mildenhall Villages. It's right off the A1065 to Brandon. I don't want to get myself into a mess the first time.

Hi all! Im new to the area and would like to get to know it better, im currently in Wattisham and was wondering if any one is going green laning this weekend? I know its a long shot but if any one is I really like to join you!

The reason Norfolk council does not say that it is open to off road vehicles is that they are rather anal about the subject but if you take the time to look on an OS map they are shown as byways open to all vehicle. Many sections of the peddars way are ordinary roads so dont believe what you read on websites, get the facts from an OS map!
Take a bow saw with you to Peddars Way....you will need it :D and watch out for school kids and dirt bikes. In winter lots of sloes if you like to make sloe gin
