Briercliffe is good for anyone novice or expert, Mud tyres are an advantage if the last few times are anything to go by!!!!! Do you live local?
 
Hi Russ. There is a place near Preston that does Landrover stuff. They advertise in the mags as K Motors Ltd. Their Web site is www.LRdirect.co.uk You could give them a ring 0845-458-8849. They are doing towbars classic RR for £74.95.

Only thing with fitting tow bar is they reduce your departure angle when going up slopes and can act as a plough. Not a great problem tho.

Fitz, I just found out today that I must go to Belarus and Moscow next week, I wont get back till March the 6th!! Grrrrr... My job is a bit last minute and always seems to do this to me. Can you re-arrange for the weekend after? I've got the map and the gearbox was fixed, i was totally ready for it!! :(

Im not going to be able to make it,its a bit far to go as my baby is due this month and if she goes into labour whilst im stuck in the welsh hills she wont be happy!!! ha.I'm up briercliffe this coming weekend though if anyone else is interested
 
I'm still up for it but just a undecided about wheather to take the Disco or co-pilot Roys defender??? Have you driven where we are going fitz?? the Disco has a low front spoiler and i only just got it fixed from the last trip to Brier..
 
I have been along all the lanes Accy. I have a 300Tdi 1994 Disco and have never had a problem. Mine has a standard front spoiler thing on it. Will post pic now.
 
Ground clearance doesn't look like a problem, just the road tyres to contend with now hehe...
