Toby , you owe your brother a serious thank you pressie for the photos- they are amazing.

The photos are just fabulous , truly awesome- just like the place :):)

Would like to say that I am paying price for all the machete wielding and branch lugging done yesterday - feeling a tad on the stiff and aching side today

- still, all the new shiny Landys will stay just that way now, with barely a leaf, on the one route, to caress their paintwork :p

That place look amazing fellas, is there any easy routes for my disco on standard tyres? Till I can afford to do more, how long u had it for, if u need any chansaw help or tools u know we're I am, and I have contacts with cheap digger higher etc if needed,

You and your standard tyres!! Lol. Itching stopping you getting some worn ones. Quite a few going on eBay as people are getting new sets for the winter so selling the old ones.

He was a star helping me- not many teenage lads would hold a middle age woman's hand to stop her slipping in the mud - he didn't hesitate and didn't flinch or blush too much either :p

Right Peeps Friday oct 19th Sat 20th and Sunday 21st, we might be running a pay and play weekend for this thread...Normally £95 for the weekend we are hoping to offer it at £75, any takers ? or £35 per day

at £45 for a day - I'd see closer to the time.

That is expensive for a days play.

Albeit that £75 for a weekend looks good value, but then that depends on how big the site is, and of course if there is enough to keep the interest for that length of time. I presume by 'weekend' it means camping overnight included?

How big is the site compared to others?

Yes but from the sound of it you had a 'plan' and a goal, and a set of targets for yourselves

which is different from a 'pay and play'.

What makes this worth more than what gets charged for Avon Dasset or indeed Wagtail?

Don't get me wrong, if its worth twice the dough, Il be there in a heartbeat, hell I'll be first through the entrance! However, thus far, I'm simply asking;

In comparison to other sites, what makes this worth @40% more dough?

Cant tell you any of the specifics re size etc but can say beats avon dassett into the ground for fun, variety and bits that are tricky and technical rather than car crushingly damaging.

Got there 10 on the sat and had for an hour and a bits break for lunch, back out there and drove til 5 , then Sunday we drove from 9 til 3 with a hour break and i still managed in all thsat time to miss one of the lanes with the bridge that you can go under or over in the photos.

Proper, CLEAN toilet block both by entrance to site & on camping field and there's a jet wash facility at end too

I paid £20 for avon dassett....easily this place is worth £15 more. Plus....i had as much fun driving as some of our big trips but instead of a tank of diesel and a three hour slog home after a weekends laning, it only took me 25 mins to get home.

now we're getting there!

So,(clean) toilets and jet wash included in the cost then.

And a site that from the sounds of it must be 3 times the size of Avon Dassett and probably half again as wagtail.

At £35, Im in.

However, worth noting that the last set of P&P's to charge £35 eventually went under. Primarily because on average people are getting bored after 4 hours (results of market research carried out back in @2006)

Eventually you'll be needing a catering truck on site. I can put you in touch with four different ones if you need it (they pay to park on my premises).

I'm not knocking you guys - not at all. At £35 - I'm there.

I think that our site is comparable to parkwood 4x4. They charge £35 and you pay extra for a jet wash.

We are aiming at a quality site and currently working to make an environment where your vehicle should leave in the same condition as it arrived.

Although I can't guarantee your state of mind will. :D :D

We are different to Avon Dassett because we will refuse entry to anything that is not taxed or MOT'd or anything that attempts to arrive on a trailer.

This place is about responsible off road driving and will compliment our greenlaning and overland side.

So don't be afraid to ask for help either. Not everyone is an expert off road driver.

So do we need to bring v5 and mot certificates etc?

Looks brilliant. Looks like you could not do anything damaging to the vehicle and have a good time, also if you want to do more challenging things you can?

Looks great, looking forward to it opening!

Hopefully be able to make it for one of the days that weekend. Is there any sections of deep water that will require a snorkel? Its on my todo list but yet to get one sorted!
