Munka, you did well to fix that and get home.
I wont be missing the next day out, any ideas when that is, Sunday??
 
still dunno how it happened cuz all the nuts where in the area where it fell off so its not like they where coming undo all day.
 
Munka's wheel falling off has got me paranoid about mine. Checked them on monday after i cleaned all the crud of um. All tight. :)
 
Was lucky that i didnt kill my engine. Mechanic found that i took on quite alot of mud and water in my air intake. Must really buy a snorkel, problem is its a 1989 90 fitted with 200tdi. Will have to adapt one to fit i think. ~Also need new exhaust after i snapped mine going down the first lane on sunday.
 
u shouldnt get that much crap in ya enjin, do u have a rubber bung at the bottom of ya filter
 
Not that difficult to adapt a snorkel...it's a bit of pipework afterall. I just bought a mushroom top, a universal elbow and made up the rest.

I guess we learn doing green laning and other stuff where the vehicles weak point is. In my case it is clearance on my diffs and spring hangars (and perhaps the driver!). Could really do with a proper set of tyres at some point too.

no its not a **** take, on the old 2.5 engines under the filter housing is a rubber drain plug supposedly 1 way mine was missing and would pick up mud and water all day long, another thing to do is move the inlet tube so its under the wing
 
alright guys ive fitted a new hub to mi disco an all is good, i cant make sunday got far to much stuff to do at home.
