I don't think my little 1.8 or my budget would stretch to rock climbing :(

When I get my laptop out I'll give the message thing a go... Would be cool to make the trips into a bit if a social though, meet up for brecky go on a trek then a pub lunch (or dinner if its a long road)

Breakfast and lunch stops are always my favourite part of the trip, after 35 years driving all sorts off road, the attraction palls. I just do it to take people out and show em the ropes!

Prefer the food, the social, and my boat, tbh! :)

I'll get my screw drivers out
scrap that, I'll get the credit card out instead because after years of having more CB gear than a Smokey and the Bandit film sitting there doing nothing he's cleared it all out :(
all I've got now is a couple of VHF walkie talkies

my walkie talkies' are Bitone with a scan function... Would that work? Been a while since I've practiced my 10 code

Sorry , No idea, you would need to check what you have against the PMR radios available.

Cheers

shame as it seems many of them closing down

however the canals do seem to be making a come back,

think a lot of us have got bad backs, maybe it's the years of lifting out gearboxes etc from owning land rovers

Canals are making a comeback, they are restoring more waterways all the time! :)

My back is more from 30+ years of farming and forestry, and to be fair, driving the landrovers probably hasnt helped either! :D
