I was on a well known Land Rover Forum and asked if anyone had a 200tdi as a project, i was gonna strip it down and rebuild it so i learnt how it worked.

got it for fook all, stripped it, rebuilt it and used it for a year will another one came along. Still sat in me garage waiting the day ( which will no doubt never come ) when i really do get it rebuilt

It does pay to ask sometimes :D

Cheers WLM :D

Bought my 90 on evilbay two years ago for 4 and a half K. It had just been fully rebuilt on a galv chassis with virtually all new parts. The insurance company valued it at 9 and half K, for my agreed value policy.

Can not say I ever got anything supper cheap but once sold a 20p on ebay for £900 when all thouse ones with no date where printed.

Can not remmber how much 20p cost me....

the best bargain i got from ebay was a 300ltr air compressor for £45 built to my specification to fit in my humble little shed under the workbench

broome & waide pump with brooke and crompton 2hp motor on single phase £35
busted portable compressor for its switchgear valves fittings and regulators £5
75kg propane cylinder empty but straight and clean £5

building me own compressor to do exactly what i want it to do with plenty of capacity to spare ........priceless cheers ebay
