O.K. Whilst that bunch of nutcases are freezing their bits off in a VERY muddy field, and I'm sat at home with the central heating blasting I want to be the first to say;

THANK YOU to Boomer & crew for a cracking day, your organisation was first class - apart from letting Ratty get to the front of the chippie queue

THANK YOU to SCRATCHYDOM for leading a group even though he had no working front shocks. How you weren't physically sick I don't know but following you down those lanes was like watching a nodding dog on the back shelf of a car. I don't know how you normally treat virgins but this one certainly appreciated your care. Small point, next time you lead a group it might be a good idea if you were on the same CB channel as the rest of us!

THANK YOU to ANDY & SUE for adding me to your group when Dom had to drop out. I won't make a big thing about you getting us all lost as the sight of seven assorted Landys doing a three point turn in a tiny Dorset village was worth it.

THANK YOU to LAND ROVER for the P38. It went everywhere that the Defenders and Discos did, and didn't let me down, but I did in armchair comfort with climate control and SWMBO had her heated seat on virtually the entire time. Difflock corner? Hah!

To all of you there - THANK YOU. Did i enjoy myself? I'm still grinning and probably will be for the next few days.

THANK YOU ALL.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Once again a very big THANK YOU to Boomer and all those that help organise this , once again, brilliant day out. We are now nicely ensconced in a cosy hotel room. New coolant tank fitted and fingers crossed.
Sorry about missing out on the cold muddy field, but I didn't want to drive any further than I had to.
Good meeting the folks we have met before, and brill meeting peeps we had not met before.

Until the next time :).

I've finally managed to sit down at home with a cuppa after walking back and fourth between the landy and the house numerous times. whilst unloading the landy.

Thanks to Boomer and the rest of the leaders for taking the groups out. Apologies for letting you guys down by not taking one myself.:eek:

It was good to meet a load of new faces aswell as the old ones.

I think I can honestly say that I have never seen so many stuck landys whilst they were still on their campsite.:doh::D:D:D

Despite the cold and wet weather, moral in general seemed to be pretty high.

Sorry I had to leave so early this morning. I hope those of you that were still there when I left, got packed away and off the field ok.:)

Listen, when we realised there was no tv at the field on friday , we all decided that we needed an evenings entertainment so we all got stuck numerous times so we could just practice rescues ready for any real LZIR :D

btw...do we get the world record for the longest strop rescue...half a field away :D
