Can anyone supply accommodation close to Poole for that weekend - or anyone want to go, but doesnt have a motor or lives too far away that wouldnt mind chipping in with assistance for fuel etc?

look upon this as LZ assistance, but without tow ropes ;).

This thread is not for me - but anyone that wants to go on the chippy run, but is having resource limitations - ie no dosh or motor.....

mhm fantastic thinking out of the box idea we have a spare doubble room and a single room i will aproch the wife and get back to you

thanks Drew - but it wasnt actually for me :)
i was thinking of peeps that travel long distances and/or maybe dont want to camp - like 110W, perchance?

i will still check with the high command to see if we can offer the rooms out to someone

As regards fuel costs - How about inviting a friend for a fun day out and share the costs.

Or, are their LZ members who would like to join the day but happy to travel as ballast, and sharing the day's cost.

OK, I have use of a 2 bedroomed flat in Highcliffe which belongs to a friend. It's 15 miles from Poole and me and my daughter will be there on the Friday & Saturday nights.

Ideally I would prefer to accommodate someone who are travelling a distance and will not be able to make the trip without an overnight stay. Any takers will need to bring a sleeping bag and towel etc as I'm not going to start doing laundry before I go home on the Sunday.

Realistically, I can offer one double bed, and if some one was happy to do so, 2 could doss on the living room floor (or one floor/one sofa). Any food will need to be brought although there is an excellent chippie over the road and a Somerfields opposite.

The flat is furnished so cups, mugs, plates etc are available.

Finally, I will want to give my friend a few bob for using the flat as they are both pensioners and we will be using their leccy.

Any unaccompanied females need not worry about taking up the offer as my daughter is a Ninja trained chaperone.:D

PS In case you're wondering I'm not planning on burying the pensioners under the patio as it's a holiday flat they inherited from an elderly relative and unoccupied that weekend.

Nice one Daft, good idea setting up this thread :)

How about looking for a wealthy banker to pay a huuuuuge sum of sponsorship for your spare seat and con them into putting all your costs for the weekend on their company expenses sheet ;):D

I already have 5 peeps in my motor.

If you have a caravan, I can offer pitches with electric hook ups, water tap, chemical toilet emptying point . There's no loos or showers, so its not any good for camping. There's a good pub within staggering distance, and a Coop shop. Its outside of our normal season, so a contribution for electric is all I ask in return (can pay in kind, beer, or cake :D )

Its a quiet, farm site, set amoung grassland, close to Fordingbridge and very Landy friendly. PM if you're interested.
