So even easier
Assuming it's the same as my D2 front prop 1 grease able uj at front prop with no grease point but a hole (just needs a nipple) and then a double cardan joint with a center bearing it's easy to swap them. If your vice is big enough you can do with an over and undersized socket to press out if not a copper or ally drift or anything softer to use a punch works fine. Proper rebuild kit for front prop is like 50 quid. If center bearing like mine is okay then 2 ujs is 15 unless you want genuine parts a fair bit cheaper than a new prop. Kinda fun to change once you have the prop off too if you like that kinda thingwhen the ujs fail on the prop , i have to either replace them or what a lot are doing is fitting an entire new prop

If it's the same as mine ref pic it's a bastard. The cardon makes it really hard to get fingers in and the center bearing makes it hard to line up compared to like a normal yolk. But very doable with a beer and some swears.being new to the disco i've spent quite a while reading up on the usual preventive maintenance on these
is always good to find out what can and can't be done,
last time i done ujs was on my old series , learning how to get them straight whilst in the vice, lol
Having a look on Google the d3 one looks alot easier to swap surprised they aren't grease able alot more room than D2 one
i won't say a word about swivel housings , where they remove the level and drain plugs,
Modern props are great things, at work its std practice for a truck to do a million kms on the original and these are sealed for life jobbies.
Now some of the truck models did have grease nipples and they would take 20 pumps of the grease gun before grease would appear, Soo how does the sealed for life manage a million on one charge of grease?
But if off roading you just cant beat nipples, plus I also find as the grease sweats a little its lubes the immediate area.
Looks easier to swap as only one uj and no cardan but unsure if you'd fit a nippled joint in without seeing in real life. Not a normal one anyway, you can get ones with nipples in the bearing caps that'd obviously fit as it comes out between the circlipjust having a quick look now , don't know how they compare to ur D2

Nipples are way better if you think wading too as you can purge out any water that has got in the system. Got to be better.
