I have an intermittent prob with my old 90 - more noticeable after a long run - when coming to a standstill there is an unpleasant graunching noise which comes from the front end at what i would guess was road wheel speed and its not the brakes. Ive made sure the handbrake isnt rubbing. My only thought is the brass bush at the outboard end of the driveshafts - i noticed one of these was quite worn last time it was stripped - would changing the axle to a newer one with roller bearings be the best option if this is the prob?

thanks

if you mean the wheel bearings, they should be rollers anyway.

Have you checked the obvious, lke the disc stone shield for clearance, diff oil levels, swivel grease?

Have checked all the obvious - no i dont mean the wheel bearing - early models have a brass bush to support the outboard end of the drive shaft - later models had a roller bearing,
You can almost feel the truck slowing with each graunch as the wheel rotates when it does it!
