i am trying to find a suitable place to mount my garmin 60csx in my defender. don't really want to make holes in the dash as its quite a new vehicle? any suggestions. thanks

or if its post 2002, somewhere on the centre console - then if you decide to sell the landy and keep the gps, just replace the colsole surround. peasy.

but velcro IS peasier!

velcro will wibble around. go with a suction mount to the screen. im running my axim x30 PDA on a suction cup and cant fault it for sturdyness and not transfering the vibration. this all makes memory map easier to read/navigate.

picked one up off ebay for about £6, bargain.

there is a recently found dead zone fer nagnavs in Shropshire so i hear

Dint be daft the bloody signal comes from space so unless yer under trees or close to the bottom of a cliff/tall building yer can get it anywherein the country. Only way you'll get a deadzone is if something is been used to block the signals. Are there any top secret bunkers or radar stations round there??

bet you're one of the numptys that follows his pratt-nav towards Rosecraddoc Holiday park, towing a shed on wheels, and ignores the 6ft width restriction signs, then gets stuck and can't reverse. If they actually looked at a map, they'd see the obvious / easy route in.

ffs learn to read a map!
GPS is fer poofs.

Mrs TomTom took me right to the door in the middle of nowhere when I collected the Yella Disco.

Mrs TomTom is the only woman I don't mind taking drving directions from!

Of course when HBG becomes Mrs CharlesY I will be happy to let her show me the way ...
