Well, I was just getting into being a happy P38 owner and restorer, and life kicks in. Short story is I need to sell my 1999 P38 HSE Diesel. Question is, while its a perfectly road worthy car, its got a few aches and pains which might scare a few people away - so is there a better option than eBay for selling it?

Not sold a car online for the last decade, so no idea if the world has changed, and there is a preferred place for a rolling restoration, ideally in North Wales - moving here is one of the reasons I've had to sell.

Just a quick post to confirm before I do an ebay post!

Ebay or autotrader are your choices. Unless you do 50 constructive posts on here and advertise it in For Sale. Because you wouldn't try to circumvent that would you?

I think I might bid , 6 beans and half a mars bar. It's a duo so didn't even bite it to make it half :)

To be honest, I wasn't aware there was a selling board or a limitation of who could use it. I'm assuming it isn't a good way to sell rolling restorations if it's that difficult to get access to it?

Then, let me ask a different question. When is the best time of year to sell a potential project car?

Many people would rather buy off an enthusiast than a dealer or private. Stops someone signing up, selling their tat then disappearing. If you ask top prices here expect top criticism is all I can say.

You can also buy full membership now it’s pennies really (orange banners). Or earn it the old fashioned way helping people and earn our respect while you’re at it.
Not all people need engine help, some have never used forums, don’t know how things work, what to click and who to ask where. The ways you can help people are almost limitless if you try, which puts 50 posts in perspective.
Just go say hi and welcome a newb few times.a little encouragement is all some need

Not here!

Coming up to winter is always a good time to sell a 4x4.
