probably not much will happen with what use you say , but a lot of use with a seized vc would put strain on the drive train , front diffs seem common in my experience

Take the front prop off if you are going to use it or it will destroy a diff.

They are abit far from me. Which is a shame. Would this explain why I'm getting stuck

acts as a center diff lock , it slips to allow slight difference between the 2 props speed but locks when there is a greater difference ie a spinning wheel

they eventually seize ,so in effect locking the 2 props together like a center diff lock on a disco or defender
