Lovely looking wheels those but seem to cost an awful lot more than modulars or weller 8 spokes? Anywhere you can pick them up cheapish?

Not really. A set with no tyres sold a few months back on ebay for £455. 2 of the wheels were damaged anorl.

Nice motor mate, is it an original CSW? Looks to be a bit of chopping and riveting going on around the bottom of the rear doors, haven't seen this before?

Just wondered if it might have been a normal van body tub cut out to take doors and seats, wouldn't be the first one I've seen done? If they're supposed to be like that my apologies however, still a nice 110!

Definitely an SW, not country spec though, you are right though, the panel has had a few of the rivets replaced, because they are unpainted, dunno what has went on there. It is a just released from service ex police truck, I have the history printout right from new, speccing it from the original order.

Hiya mate. Nice choice of motor.

The wheels that Buckshot is on about are mach 5's.

Thanks man, they are nice wheels, they remind me of the superlites I used to have on my minis!

They are a bit pricey for me though, there is just so much stuff to get out there! :D

I actually like the look on the original steel wheels, but it appears that they are just a bit narrow at 5.5" for 235/80/16s.

The rivets on that section AREN'T painted from new. Thats how it comes outta the factory.

Go look in the show room, all 110 SW have unpainted rivets behind the door. What do you expect on a near 30K vehicle?

I towed a yacht from Southampton to Wicklow . we got the ferry in South Wales. The Yacht weighed just under the stated maximum tow weight for Land Rover. When the yach was lifted onto the trailer at the boat yard I tried pull off .Jeep was under a lot of strain. Then after about 10 yards I discovered the hand brake was on .on the trailer. The td5 110 crew cab did the round trip.ie. Wicklow to Southampton and back on one and a half tanks of diesel. I also have a hard top slightly modified and use it for work and playing. I have both a couple of years. Up to these I had Discovery's. but I find the defender more comfortable to drive....before yu say anything ..yes I know it must have sumtin to do with my shape..

why did yu check the towing weight of a land rover, then tow it with a Jeep?

Do Jeeps have TD5 engines, and what Discoveries are we talking about
