Now my baby is sold, I just want to say goodbye and a big thank you for all the help and advice that you guys gave me in order to get my P38 going and running. When I purchased her, she was in a mess because the guy who sold it to me rather ripped me off. But 2 years and a big pile of cash along with all the advice I got from you guys, turned a poor example of a P38 in to a wonderful example. We saved a very sad car from the scrap heap and gave it a new lease of life.

Thank you all.

PS. I will still dip in to see how my car is doing as I will pass this site on to the new owner. X

Was gonna say, don't say goodbye, stick around and share your experiences as it may just help someone....after all the work you have put in, you will have some good learned knowledge to impart to others!

To quote Vinnie Jones in Lock Stock....'It's been emotional...'

Take care Rachel ,
Wish my wife was into motors like you, I could change the colour of the RR and strip out the interior and she still would not notice. Bye for NOW.
XXX Paul.

Thank you guys! I will defo chip in on posts, I love reading them. Especially when Wammers tells people to "read my sodding how to" when someone hasn't read it!! I suspect another P38 will be in my future!

So what have you got as a replacement?

I still hang around Rachel. Whilst my Kia might be uber-reliable, it's boring :) and this is the best forum in the world for learning mechanics...

Good luck

Nik

She was picked up today by a very nice man and his wife. I was sad to see her go, but I know she will be looked after. They called her "Rachel" in honour of my hard work to restore her.
