we always see the section full of freds about how bad our disco is or whats broke on it now or how some twot has crashed into our pride and joy. so fur a change i fought it maybee good to say what we like or what has worked well or how we managed to write an alfa romeo off today haha today i got me new tyres off razzle an they look fookin great just gotta work out how to stop them catchin when im in full lock hmm:confused:

There should be a bolt on the swivel/hub somewhere with a nut on it, adjust that, slacken off the nut, then unscrew the bolt to the desired position, hold the bolt in place then tighten the nut back up against the hub/swivel, if it's not like that then **** knows how ya do it

As for me Landy, well it's comfortable and shiny

It makes me smile every time I drive it!

Same here. Mines filthy, dinged to fook, leaks every time it rains but never breaks down (touch wood), goes anywhere I want it to, tows daft amounts without fuss and is just great. I love parking next to shiny new defenders and looking down my nose at em.:D

The Doris never wants to drive it, or even ride in it.
I don't have to worry about muddy dogs jumping in.
I can deliver pheasant food and water right into the woods.
I can pull out tree stumps.
I can retrieve trailer loads of logs from down in the woods........

Fookin ell - I could go on all night.....

I agree, i still have a massive smile on me face every time i set foot in it and start the engine, no more worrying that someone's gonna devalue it by opening their car door carelessly in the tesco car park, no need to get anywhere in a hurry, not a lot of comfort - tis by far the most enjoyable car i've ever owned! (and pretty close to being the cheapest to own in real terms)

no saying yours will be like that but I know the tractors on the farm were like that and I'm pretty sure the 1984 RR we had was like that too

A hope a dunt jinx masel here,,,, but mine is aw workin fine nae leaks, nae wobles,, nae clunkin,,, nowt,,,,, only fing is its blown a headlight bulb an av just got two o then xion type ones so i'll fit them the w/end,, an give her a wee clean,,(just so a can get even closer tae her,,,,,,);) :D :D :D

Both of ours make me smile; the cheap price of parts means I can keep them in good nick and the fanatastic fuel economy.

Confidence-inspiring towing of heavy loads.

Brick-shaped, 2 tons+ - 34mpg amazing:D :D

How about this then,

One thing I like about my Disco is how easy it seems to repair !

Leaking clutch slave cylinder, 30 mins, plus £ 21 for the part !!!.

Any other problems you get, just do a search on here, and you,ll find loads of advice on how to sort it !.

I think my Disco is great !.

typical big lad, only bothered about the MPG :D

Ours are great
the looks of awe
the scare factor
local bikers love em
we can take my sis and her big family on hols in both disco's(7 of them), in comfort with me tom and my parents too, luggage and buggy/travel cot and not have to use a dirty, slow, expensive crap big buses!

it may cost me loads (the 3 mot's the 2 discos have had come up to over a grand together) but we love em!

50p, change your clutch :D now tell me its easy to repair :D

Its a piece of p1ss !!!.

( I obviously havnt done one yet !!! ).

I changed one of those " what do ya call em thingys " the other day. Wheels I think they,re called.

WELL SIMPLE JOB !!. ( hour and half . MAX ).

wheel bearings? cos if it took yah an hour and a half to do a wheel change theres summit wrong, i could do it in 20 mins tops, which would be good being 6months pregs!
