Can anyone recommend a good mechanic/workshop for general repairs/ servicing etc in kent (not london) or east sussex preferably somewhere around abouts Tunbridge wells Hastings Maidstone or Burwash?

Try Roberts Country vehicles in Paddock Wood - they've done a few bits for me in the past. Not exactly cheap, but reliable.

theres a great garage near Doddington Kent, done the biz for me on a TD5, cant miss him, on the main road heading up Lenham hill from faversham. Head through Doddington up the hill, 500yards on left, ask for Doug

Corn Exchange Garage in Tunbridge Wells. They do all cars not just LR but very good highly recommended.

If you are looking for a LR specialist then I've been told gigglepin 4x4 in Hildenborough near Tonbridge are good. I've never used them myself so can't comment on prices but I have had a chat with Jim who runs it and he certainly knows his stuff.

There is a Landy place on the Charing road, just a short bit away from Challock cross roads...


Dunno the name though.. Am sure I have the number at work.

Have you tried Gigglepin in Hildenborough, all they do is Landies

Highly recommend Sussex 4WD in Crowborough.

Been doing all my cars for the last 5 years. Also has a full Autologic diagnostic kit so can reflash ECUs with the Autologic power upgrades for post '01 Defenders.
