Got my insurance renewal in today for my 2005 TD4 - £238 up £8 from last year. Thought that was a good price considering what some are paying :D

I had a prang on boxing day last, they didn't hammer me that hard on renewal but I lost my NCB :(. I suppose the logic is that they might as well have my money by keeping my premium about the same, rather than me going somewhere else.

Direct line. Fully comp for 24 year old. 04 SE owned since 21, modified and declaired.

£341 for a year. Have 1 non fault smash and 1 non fault write off to name.
Admiral wanted £453 for same info.

I'm with admiral, same age, same car and they want nearly a grand. It was 700 on a '96 civic even with my 4 year NCD. What in the blazes is your secret

Where abouts do you live? Rural?

£320 fully comp with the Doris on as well.

i've got full ncb and have it protected, you lot have got some good deals, i shopped around a lot and this was the best i could get.

:) Hi Folks, I use Liverpool Victoria Insurance and was surprised to be quoted £320 fully comp on an 06 Freelander. That's without a courtesy car and no legal cover. This is after a non fault crash in 2008, so only 3 years NCB. However I am an old git of 63.

Jonners

Sorry forgot to say I am in Cheltenham GL51

Im a ML postcode, not totally rural but central belt of scotland.

When with admiral, i did the 10 month bonus accelerator policy. I have 6 NCBS.

Was with admiral for 5 years, direct line were cheaper so moved over. Direct had a 20% off internet purchase price offer when i bought mine.

Wither it stays £341 when i go back to being a full time student is a different matter though.

TN postcode, I'm 41, been with Elephant for the last 4 yrs as they have been the most competitive for me: £236 fully comp, protected NCB, missus on the policy too.

i am with churchill and live in stoke on trent got full no claims bonus and I always have it protected after quite a few years ago not in a landy got hit from behind and he gave false info and I was left in hospital for a few days and i did eventually find him and a lot of detective work but the insurance people did not want to know I had to claim of the unisured drivers section

Adrian Fux.
2001 v6. NCB 12 years. England. Fully comp + legal cover + courtesy car. Imported (it's now uk spec). Modded: engine (like for like replacement but this one works), tyres, sump guard, cooland sensor. Limited to 5000 miles. £500. Edit: social, domestic, pleasure + commute to one place of work.

The problem with all of these posts is that we are unable to compare like for like so what other people are paying is fairly meaningless, although my previous post appears to be the lowest premium I would expect this due to my age, location, no claims and driving experience, but this certainly doesn't make me a better driver.
