Well it's that time of year coming soon for car insurance and would like to get best priced policy for my 1996 modified discovery 300tdi. Any recommendations please?

that'd be mr flux.

they's insuring me now, and has done in the past on different cars with no issues. gave me the best price on 4x4s every time, and although I've heard a few bad stories, I've never personally had a problem with them (and the Jordan chap always answers his PMs on here :) )

Waiting on email now from flux. Lancaster website won't let me complete some sections so got mad after entering few times will ring them lol.

Flux want £1234 and shearwater want £1449 so the hunt continues

Adrian flux for me i recommend them everytime ive had cars kit cars one off special build bikes and land rovers insured with them and they have always been exellent no issues at all.

I rang around and Lancaster were a little cheaper than Flux BUT they were absolutely useless, even spot lights were an issue that had to be referred to the underwriters and even if they made no charge for modifications as such there would be a charge for adding them to the policy! Anyway Flux were excellent and with a discount for being a member here and for advanced driving they were not too far out plus they will accept all the modifications I plan on doing.

Im with Nor county at the mo , might give Flux a ring if folk say they do modded vehicles and are good

I spoke to you guys and this was final. A lot to pay so will keep looking. Paid £690 on a classic land rover policy last time
