oh ,, :Dbuying a right drive :argue:to drive left hand drive in france

No problem, I bought my P38 in the UK for half the price of a similar one in France that had much higher mileage, my French wife soon commandeered it as her preferred drive:rolleyes: I also bought my Transit in the Uk paying a third of the price of a French equivalent.
High driving position and empty roads means it's absolutely no problem:D

Not sure what drives the logic behind this. I bought the Jeep we keep in Sweden 12 years ago from a US Air Force chap in East Anglia who was returning home. It is still worth more in Sweden today than what I paid for it all those years ago.
Go figure....

I am about 10 miles from Tom Peers - top man - He is about 3 miles off the M40 junc 8 (Oxford Services).

Have dealt with him in the past on several occaisions...when we were over in the UK about 12 months ago, we drove down and found his site. Absolutely spot on guy, most helpful and no rip off prices. Gotta be one of the best suppliers of used P38 parts around..a well kept secret..until now !!!

Got home from UK last night with my P38 and a JE Engineering 560S (compressor and watt linkage) and believe it or not : no problem at all on the road.

Photos of that special car coming in another thread:)

Hi,

I'm going to UK with a friend next week to buy and bring back a P38. I already see the faces:scratching_chin:. We have a testbook with us:D

Does anybody knows some P38 breakers on our route from Oxford to Folkestone?

I've already planned a stop at Island4x4 then at Land Rover of Ashford (Barretts)

Thanks

PS: what does mean :"are you pulling my leg?" ? A car seller told me that 1 minute after a phone call...

Florent

There are better things to do in the UK than looking & buying p38's.........like visiting the home of a typical Essex girl.
