I've seen the following on ebay and it didn't sell, no bids, at his £1000 asking price. The bulkhead looks quite good in the photos and it even has a memory upgrade, the rare table saw attachment and a back up battery LOL According to his listing it's ex MOD and comes with a spare engine and box, probably the originals. Comes with a cab fitted but has the parts to put the full length roof and side panels back on

Does it look ok and anything in particular I should check for. It's chassis numbers and correct id that really concerns me as broken stuff can be fixed. Just looking at the pics and realised where the hell is the fuel filler?

I wont be making a rash purchases tomorrow, I am just going to look because if I do buy it I will need to find out how much it is to get it from north Wales to Liverpool.

Do Landys seem to be hanging around for a while on ebay or am I just watching the dodgy crap that all those in the know avoid? There a several nice ones that are around £1500 with no bids.

Thanks

Looks like it could be what they say it is. From what I can see (on my phone), genuine Series MoD front bumper and bonnet catches. Fuel filler as Fanny says under passenger seat is MoD spec as well.

Look for a second vin plate with MoD numbers as well. Sometimes on drivers side seat box or in the engine bay.

Plus the usual, watch for filler on the bulkhead (a magnet is useful) and a screwdriver to poke holes in the chassis.

Having now looked at some of the photos it is definitely MOD you can see the NATO trailer socket on the rear panel and so the fuel filler should be under a seat. It probably started life with a full canvas tilt.

It has all the cleats for a tilt canvass hood and as per thread its definetly ex military. For a non-runner/ SORN it looks V rough for £1K, not surprised no takers. if its been laid up a while for definite its got some problems. Depends what u are looking for, as a project and at a cost you could end up with a nice S2 ex military LWB, but if you are looking for something to get on the road a minimal cost this isn't probably a very good idea. The 2.25 diesels are smokey old dogs and can have emissions problems at MOT. It also got a non-std indicator stick.

Thanks for the reply. It isn't the model i was looking for, i would like a safari, so i wont be chucking money at him. I'm not taking any with me to stop me doing anything rash. I am interested in the landy that someone has asked about a value for it a few threads back.
