Hello

I Have 300TDI Disco and have noticed the glow plug dash light does not come on first thing in the morning. It does however seem to work once driven and is still hot (switch the ignition off when finsihed driving, then switch it back on again). I have had a look at the relay and found a loose wire but that changed nothing, so i changed the relay, again still only works after being driven. I have seached through the threads and found nothing about the symtoms I have. I was wondering if there is a sensor somwhere that I should check, the Haynes manual wiring diagram didnt seem to indicate one. Does anybody have any ideas.

If the answer to the question "does it start?" is yes, then don't worry about it. If thats the only thing you got thats kwerky then you are a lucky disco owner.

Yes it does start and seems to run OK, my only concern was the colder months, this being my first Diesel Disco. Didnt have this problem with the V8 :scratching_chin:

I will test the voltage as soon as I get the chance, thanks

All sorted finally. There was a loose earth terminal (earth thermal behind the battery).
Posted in case anybody else had this problem.
