Have had the TD5 Auto for 10 days and done over 1 000 miles, I am using it every day for a couple of weeks to find any bugs whilst still covered by warranty.
I am puzzled by something:
When I start her up I get 3 "Beeps" when it has started. All the warning lights behave as they should.
When I switch off, after a few seconds, I get 3 different type of beeps.

Is this as it should be or is it warning me of something, suspect it is me being dim.

Overall the disco runs really well and so far the few niggles have been sorted by the dealer. Have to say I love driving it and i towed with it last weekend and it is excellent for it.

if it's facelift modell those 3 beeps on start-up are normal and it means the system have passed the self-check... provided all the warning lamps of the systems are working on self test and there are none blanked which could mean there is a fault in a system but you can't see the warning...if it's not facelift then deffinately there is a fault and a "disabled" warning

i have no idea about those strange beeps after ignition off:confused:, maybe if you put a audio/video file here

see the attachment and knowing how your D2 is equipped observe if all the related warnings are working or not on self test

Does it have a Sony sterio? If so it would be the reminder to remove the face plate, just a thought

Which happens also with my Pioneer head unit, but three beeps from the vehicle isn't good at anytime as it 'can be' an indication of an ABS fault along with a warning lamp, although the 2004MY also has additional three beeps to indicate the end of the ABS test function on start up.:)

Read your owners handbook the info is there..
