Hey guys iv seen these pedal locks etc and read a couple of posts about them and iv seen the post from shire fabrications offering £85 delivered...would any buyer recommend them as iv seen some on eBay as little as 60... if the shire company do a good product I’d rather pay a little more for piece of mind.

I've got an adrenaline one and its a beast, bright yellow as well so you'd see it if you had a look through the window.. I've got a disclock wheel lock as well from halfords which are meant to be the best ones, they dont lock to the wheel so you can't snap the steering lock with it on as it spins.. another big deterrent. hope this helps

I have the shire yellow one on our Def TD5, its quite a lump but very happy with it.

Getting this from foundry 4x4 to go with it soon.

I was worried about that, they do supply a shear nut to stop that happening, could always be bolt and braces with a blob of weld maybe?
I guess I am just going on the 'have to make more noise and more things to break off belt and braces approach'.
I guess it might be useful for popping to the shops etc, as you can start a def with a lolly stick!
I have the usual window etchings, and cut out switch and have secured the battery box, but I understand they can cut wires from below and bring their own battery etc.

When i went away for a few days i popped it on the see saw ramps, chained them up and put a knackered transfer box on the floor with odds parts laying next to it, we have CCTV and a police connected alarm, for what its worth. I need to devise a way of jacking it up whilst on the see saws so i can remove a wheel or two when i go away for long periods, thinking placing a loading ramp across the see saws?

But of course I am aware if they really want it they will take it, just don't want to make it easy for them!

Any other suggestions welcomed?

Take it with you? :)

Take a look at the X Eng pedal lock which bolts to the floor (so you don’t have a big lump of metal to find a home for)

Thanks, yea have seen that, but heard a few negs about it, PIA to fit, slippy feet when driving (cant use a mat) and mate had a lock jam up on him before he even fitted it etc. I dont' mind carrying the big yellow thing, doubles as a decent wheel chock as well!

I have one of these as part of the deterrent, I hadn't noticed it could be overcome so easily.
