I made the mistake of going into a landrover dealership the other day and would like to avoid having to go back to one but I need to get new door lock keys cut. The one I have is about to snap in half. Does anyone know if I can order them online or by post?

have a search on the net for key blanks then go to a key cutter. look the same but only cost a few quid. dealerships are full of the spawn of the devil. and they all drive freeeeeeeeylanders.

And the problem with freelanders is MMM... what?

absolutlarly nothing.

my chum has one that has faulty bits and the twunk at the dealership decided that it was'nt in their remit to sort it out. oh but he had one that was new and it worked (pointed this out more than once too) and my chums was old and not worth bothering with, spotty youth oik. grrrrrrrr.rant rant.
went to an independant, sorted it no problem. and they offered to get some new keys as-well. obviously for a price, half the dealerships!!
so apologise to freelylanddrivers.

spudly, thanks, I should have had a go with the key from my shed :D my wife used to own an old morris minor, you could open that with a nail file. They probably have the same locks :)

and as for dealerships .....

house keys work good to even used a coin, new barrels aren't dear good old ebay gpt whole new set for mine including 2 new keys

once i get round to fitting them i hope they work a bit better

My key snapped in the ignition the first time we took the landy out on a trip up on Bodmin. Luckily I could get it out of the barrel with a pair of tweezers!!! Got a new one sorted by the local key cutter... no probs!
