Hi guys
My landy is a 1970 S2a and should have the Maltease grill but came with an S3 grill and after rebuilding my 2a i replaced the grill with a new S3 grill even though i don't like the S3 grill on a 2a but i just can't justify the £250-£1,000 price tag, fitting it and then later it gets nicked so whilst on ebay a few days ago i found this aftermarket grill, i know it doesn't have the appeal as a Maltease grill but to me its better than an S3 grill, what do you think

Is it made of plastic? Personally, I dont mind the S3 grill but I wish it wasnt made of plastic. The one pictured looks good but Id need to see it on a landy to make my mind up.

Its ally but i will need to get a landy badge for the front as although its the same shape as a Maltease grill but more rounded off it uses the same fixing points as an S3 grill and doesen't have land rover on it

I had an ex military late 2a once, again fitted with a series 3 grill. Like you I baulked at the price of a 'maltese' grill so I made my own from 1" weldmesh. Cost £0. Picture is a little small and dark sorry

Yeah i was looking round for some mesh that would suit it, didn't want anything that looked daft but didn't want anything looking the same just incase it got stolen then saw these on ebay so decided to get one ok £55 but a plastic S3 grill isn't far off that and it saves me trying to make one :)
