I was green-laning today and got cross-axled! I managed to rock the car sufficiently enough by pushing it to move it! I had that comedy moment where I got covered in mud much to the amusement of 'er indoors!

Is there any easy way to get out of such a situation without having to get out and push?

With constant steady power, gently press the brake pedal at the same time to slow the spinning wheels and transfer drive to the ones on the ground.

And don't go on your own ;)

I only borrowed the Disco 1; I have a TD5! I usually rely on technology to get me through!

I don't know anyone in the area to go green-laning with, so its either go alone or don't go at all! A winch on my TD5 seems a good idea - might have to check the piggy bank!

Many ways in which the above could end in disaster, including left foot braking under power.

Basibally traction aids, a tow, or more power are required :D
