Hello all,

well after having 3 Subaru Impreza Turbos and 2 big end failures I'm buying my sisters 1994 Discovery for the winter.....89K 2 owners from new, full service history etc.......

I have had a couple of Series II in the past (about 19 yrs ago).....

Just saying hi...I'm not expecting any problems as she is mint...but I would like some adivce on general suspension upgrades...th 200 series Disco's rock like a ship in rough sea, and I'm sure some 'stiffer' shocks would make big improvement.......any advice would be great.....

Looking forward to some chugging about compared to the 265BHP plus scooby's....

(still have the fireblade for the Sunday fun)

Keep safe

Regards

H

they all drive like that. remember it aint a scooby.
treat it like that and you will be fine. drive slower and smell the coffee.

and welcome to the mature world.

i think you have joined the wrong forum laddy, we are all carpet slippers and cocoa rather than scooby's and bacardi breezers, welcome young feller ;)

Young Fella.......I'm dirty 30 next year.....I have had a number of 4x4's over the past few year....2 x Series II 2.5 diesel.....1 x 2.25 petrol, 3 x 2.8TD Fourtrak (sorry, but I do not really have a bad thing to say about them)........

Never really thrashed the scooby's.....yes they are fast....my last one was a WRX, 280BHP mapped (on the dyno).....very fast.....but to be honest....you can soon get bored. Thats why I keep the old Fireblade...nothing can touch that (within reason)

Thanks for the welcome...I know all 200 series are sloppy, just though getting somekind of uprated shocks might just take a bit about........first things first thou, she has been sat for a few months, so she will need a steam clean, wash, wax and may be even a little polish....

it is my intention to keep her for the winter then sell her on..........

will investigate the shocks/suspension thing further....might even fit an intercooler, need to do some cal's, have a couple at work that may fit...

All, have fun and keep safe.

Regards

H
