went out for a bit of a drive and on the way home it poped out of second and stalled right away after starting it up again and going into first there was a horrible grinding noise and a nasty smell the noise went away when i had my foot on the throttel but when i released it it made nasty noises again. it also struggled to pull away and was poping out of gear a lot

(feel free to laught at this part i know its stupid but im not 100% sure that i took the handbrake off all the way would that cause the problems??)

If you have'nt done so already, take it for a spin with the transmission brake fully off and see what happens !!!!!!!!!!!. Also try it in fourth, if the noise has gone in fourth gear then it's possible that the layshaft is on its way out.

You are stupid. very very stupid. ... Are you a doris then ??

ill agree witht the stupid part but what / who is doris ??

found another problem with it i pressure washed of the under side and now the mud that was around the petrol tank has gone it leaks like a bitch

He he he. I did the pressure washing thing and ended up needing a new fuel tank, cost 80 quid or so from Haddocks, the week before they were selling them for a tenner at Driffield show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Him who's never made a mistake has never done owt.

Nowt dramatic at all reeely. I just pressure washed the fuel tank and the steel had rusted so much the pressure washer was too much for it and made holes in it and things.

You aren't stupid at all, it's a learning curve for all newcomers. Stick with it and the very best of luck with your Landy.

yes i am i seem to do a lot of stupid things that i really shouldnt, im an electrician and a while ago i was working on a live board and my hand brushed agains a live busbar (thats bad if u didnt relise) and luckily didnt get a shock as i wasnt touching any thing that would make a return pah and i was on fiber glass steps at the time, now most normall people would have either stopped and either turned board off or put summin over it , but being me i thought fu*k it and i carried on and then the same thing happened again but this time my lil finger touched the back of the metal board and i got 1 hell of a shock and i was stuck on it so i did the really stupid thing of trying to pull my self off witht he other hand but put it on the other side of the board and then recived the worst shock ive ever had from arm to arm.

so feel free to correct your self ;)

Reet then you heard it here. The Pastie Munchers are thicker than Septic Dorisis.

Hey thats a good name for a punk band "The Septic Dorisis"! Can't wait for their cover of "I've got a brand new combine harvester".
