The grub screw in the pic below has worked itself loose for the fourth time resulting in me having to stop at the roadside again and take it apart just to sort it. Last time I did I loctited the **** out of it so I've no idea how its vibrated loose again  any ideas as to why cos its doing my tits in. Thankfully this time I was on a quiet side road but last time it came loose I was just joining the motorway, which wasn't fun.

did you give both a good clean and degrease ? and use the green loctite for those its much stronger and oil resistant. Mine came loose sometime back but it was the one in the gearbox locating the selector onto the shaft, had to get seatbox out good as in no new gearbox req but took some time

Yup, properly cleaned all the threads and degreased the lot before using blue loctite on it. Will get the green stuff and give it a go

blues what mine is held in with, on both of the grubs in there

you really need to tighten it up though! I put mine in coated in loctite, twisted it til it was nipped, hit it with my hand and then stuck a bar on the end and gave it another little tweak (mechanics orders when I asked him)

What is the point of the grub like? If it's blunt or shiny then it needs replacing .. I use Unbrako 12.9 grade with serrated ends that help grip .. and are really strong so can be tightened 'a lot' ... ;)
