Hi everyone, I recently bought an 06 RR sport, once it’s warmed up it won’t change gear until 4500rpm. It has got a coolant leak which is hopefully being fixed this week, although the gearbox has been fine up till now even with the coolant leak. Any idea?

Welcome. If you bought from a dealer, take it back. I do not know the Sport, but does it have a Normal/Sport mode option? Worth checking for fault codes with diagnostics. Otherwise check the oil level and if it has not been serviced maybe do an oil and filter change on the box.
Someone who knows the Sport may be along soon. You could also post in the Discovery as I believe the Sport is only a D3/4 in a posh frock.

Thanks mate

There is no sport option but I think maybe a flush and new oil will help. Just hearing so many horror stories about these boxes once they hit around 80000 miles.
The 80K miles is the L322 diesel, I don't think yours has the GM box, it's the much better ZF 6 speed I think..

I had a disco 3 a few years back where the suspension would drop, £300 on a new battery and it made no difference. Bloody worry me these cars do

So called 4x4 expert, then spent £70 on a fuel filter and that didn’t fix the problem either
A gold plated fuel filter:eek: The only thing garages are expert at when it comes to modern Range Rovers is emptying owners wallets. If you cannot DIY, these cars burn cash.

That’s what is worrying me, I haven’t got the facilities or the talent to DIY a lot of those sorts of things

You can, should see around 14.7 volts with the engine running
Morning mate, just put my multimeter on the battery and I’m getting between 4-6 volts showing, then it displays OL and then shows the same voltage output. Any ideas as the battery is new?
