It's for a good reason, there's a scrape along one sill, so thought it'd be an easy way to cover it up

nah! thats not a good reason
new sills are about 2 pound 50 and anyway they look better with some slight scuffin!
if you put chequer plate on it i'll never offer anymore well thought out advice to you!

Off with the sills anyway. Series 2s and 3s look heaps better without them.
For the purists that have taken offence, .............tough.
There I've said it and I don't regret it.
