hi people i have a 300tdi disco and i have lost 2nd gear i have been offerd a 200tdi gearbox can any1 tell me the difference between a 200tdi and a 300tdi gearbox thanks for looking Dave

Hi, as far as i know the 200tdi uses LT77 and the 300tdi has R380...but some older variants had the LT77 aswell though some latest 200tdi were fitted with R380 but i'm not sure.......to make a clean swap the boxes must be the same type........see this http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/...d=0&nmt= Will a 200 tdi gearbox fit a 300tdi?

Could it be that the bias plate is broken? Relatively easy fix.

I fitted a 300 box into a 200

It's a straight swap .

thanks is there a difference as i will be fitting a 200 box on a 300 is the 300 box better than the 200 box are or they the same thanks for your help
