Hi all, just bought a P reg disco 1, v8. On the way home the gearbox warning light was flickering on and off, can anyone give me some advice please?

do mk1 disco's have warning lights for the gearbox??? manual or auto? i dont recall seeing one?

Hi, thanks for you reply, to be totally honest I am not sure if it is the gearbox warning light - I am writing for my brother. It is a manual box, 3.9 v8 on a P reg. Sounds more like a handbrake warning light to me? I'll get more info or go look myself I think. He doesn't explain things well...giving me the headaches most the time.
I'll re post once I have better info.

Could it be the difflock light?
