Hi all,
Quick question, would a gearbox from a G plate discovery 200tdi fit a R plate 300tdi discovery? Or are they different boxs?

The early one will be an LT77 and the 300 an R380 , it will fit but the r380 is a better box .

Cheers, i have a spare LT77 and maybe going to look at a 300tdi which has a gearbox problem so my spare may finally come in handy

I think the only difference is that reverse is in a different place. I currently don't need a gearbox change but it's useful to know that you can interchange 'em as it can be tricky to source spares over here should the occasion arise. Does the earlier box fit directly with no modification at all?
