Thanks for your reply James can you tell me exactly where this plug is as I have looked and there seems to be 4 plugs on the bottom by where the cooler pipe is, is it one of these also when I take this plug out is a considerable ammount of oil going to run out

Hello James I am confused as to which plug you are talking about what do you call the pump plate are you talking about on the outside of the gearbox as I can only find 4 plugs on the bottom of the gearbox 2-hexagon plugs and 2-allen key plugs close to the fill pipe and I have taken them all out one at a time and they have funny size threads not BSP as on the guages can you please tell me if it is one of these that you are talking about

yes they are all screwed into pump plate ,you can get an adaptor lr tool lst502-1 i have a sykes engine oil pressure kit and adapter out of there fits box plus sykes o-300 psi auto pressure guage

are you saying that I can screw into any of these plugs but I would need special adaptors to fit into these to be able to attach a pressure guage

the one 1o cm or 4 inchs from level plug or tube ,adapter would be needed if yours doesnt fit i use one from other test kit as said or make one
