My TD4 has 114,000 miles on the clock, I bought it in January this year and has a full history on servicing, (well It is written down in the service manual),
My question is according to the book that the gearbox oil has to be changed every 60,000 mile,
I am assuming that according to the service book that it has been done, now According to the mileage mileage it needs doing again,
A farmer friend of mine has two TD4's and he told me today that he had the came across the same problem a few years ago,
He like me assumed that the oils had been changed on both of them at 60,000 so like I am about to do he had them both changed at 120.000 and within 2 to 3 weeks of changing the oil's both TD4's had to have new gearboxes fitted,
Is there anyway of knowing for sure that the oil was changed or do I go ahead and changed it as the book says
