hi im thinking of buying a landmark with 140.000 miles on it but the gear stick is like a stiring spoon its very hit and miss on finding the gear you want how easy and expensive would this be to fix as the disco is only 5k on a 04 plate many thanks sorry this is for a disco 2 not 4

it would sound like bias plate ,it would just require removal of consol rubber gaiter ,tin cover off gear box top and new one fitting,plate is has slotted holes so upright section betweeen the 2 springs can be adjusted to align gear stick with 3rd and 4th gear
