Gearbox mtf 94 , 1.6 ltr , ird 75w/90 api gl5 , 1.1 ltr , final drive 80/90 api gl5 0.83 ltr as for the 300 tdi ...

Just a point , make sure you crack the ird filler/level plug off first as it can be a pig !

Oil done, bloody ell Ian you weren't kidding when you said about the filler plug for the IRD had to use a 1/2inch breaker bar. Thought that I was going to round off the head at one point.

Done mine twice , first went ok , but second time plug rounded off big time , had to get a impact socket and it took two of us to crack it off , I did not overtighten it after the first change either , however when I went to LR for a replacement plug , I was asked if I wanted the sealing washer , I said there was no washer , any way I got one , so that could of made it worse it being missing  did you notice the drainplug has a magnet on it to trap any metal particles !

Luckily there was no metal fragment contamination. Worth thinking about the washer may go and get one and put it on as a safety measure.

Cheers once again
