Ok I am wondering what I would need to do to get my 200 tdi disco gearbox to work with my 3.5 as the one in there now seems really wrong thanx all

auto?
if so the shift points are differnt on 3.5 and 3.9 and not sure if that can be changed easily

jamesmartin will probably know

Do you know if the shift points are the same on the 3.9 and 4.2?

i do not as only asked ashcrofts about a 3.5 box I had when I had a 3.9 to put it in

You can either use a series v8 conversion plate or use a different bellhousing from a v8 box I believe? As for input shafts and clutches etc James Martin is your man again

hi

you cant just bolt up 200tdi box to v8..needs mucho bits that cost more than a good second hand v8 box..and work to..ie hunting them down..

so i would be hunting down a good second hand v8 box..ebay or on here??
