Didn't think the TD6 gearbox lasts long enough for a filter /oil changehi
I have a L322 2004 TD6 3.0 diesel with ZH 5HP gearbox. I cannot find a filter/pan set to change for my gearbox. Just the ZF 6HP...does anyone know if I can use the 6HP for the 5HP box or if I can get hold of a filter specific for the 5HP?
Many thanks
John

No idea if it’s done. But don’t think it has..Yeah but how many torque converters and boxes has it had, they usually fail around 90 to 100,000 miles.

If that has happened. What would I notice?180,000 miles is very unusual for that box. Lining on torque converter lockup clutch usually comes apart and fills the valve block with debris at around 100,000 miles. As the valve blocks are made from hard cheese that causes them to fail.

If it has the straight 6 M57 engine, it will have the GM box.Is a 2004 diesel not the GM box?

Should be able to.So can I get a filter to do a change for my RR?
Make sure you use the correct oil or you will kill the box.So can I get a filter to do a change for my RR?
Or start saving up.Get a couple. At that mileage the act of changing the oil might cause some nasties to come out the woodwork. You'll only be able to get about 80% of the oil changed so it will take 2 or 3 changes to get all the crap out. Leave it in and it will chew the valve block referred to above.
You might be lucky and a previous owner has not only regularly changed the oil but upgraded the weak parts. Check service history / receipts.
