Hi, I have a 300tdi manual, last outing I knackered the front prop so it's been sitting for 3 weeks with me finding the motivation to repair it again! Before I start on my new issue I will start by saying that 3 weeks ago I drove it home and was fine (apart from prop uj fecked) so I got it in today to move it and find I have no drive!!! I went into reverse once and engaged and was fine. When trying to go forward again I have nothing!! I can even engage 1st 2nd 3rd with no clutch and engine ON!!!!
To get 4-5-R I have to engage clutch but does not drive
It had a new heavy duty clutch and release fork about 2 months ago
There is plenty of resistance at clutch pedal
I have found I have the wrong oil in the gearbox (ep 80-90 mineral)

For an example with 1-2 it feels like I've got my foot on the clutch 3rd feels partial clutch

Please help I'm supposed to be going out in it on Sunday :(

Diff lock was engaged. Jacked up rear wheel and could only turn a fraction, but surely I still shouldn't be able to engage gears atall

clutch applied/stuck on where yu wading thru muddy water the day you broke it..

I drove it home 30 miles red and with that still being a possibility because its been sitting I have perfect resistance at the pedal?!.. I don't understand how that works James, I shouldn't be able to engage any gear with engine running as the input shaft will be spinning at the same rpm as the crank? Engaging a gear would start drive...??

not if youve no connection to wheels ,ie you could change gear if clutch was slipping ,clutch center ripped out ,rear of mainshaft snapped ,no drive through t/box

I have connection to rear wheels checked that, centre clutch possibly but not atall noisy and its a pretty fresh HD clutch kit, rear shaft snapped possible but again silence. please remember I drove it home and was fine and i havent touched it until now 3 weeks later,

can only go on what you say ,if you jack a rear wheel up and it wont turn far is that because diff locks working or hand brakes stuck on ,if you have full connection with rear wheel to engine ,you should be able to rock engine with wheel in 5th gear ,obviously your loosing drive somewhere ,is it actually in high or low etc ,try a few things then come back with more info
