I fitted a new clutch last weekend in my 1990 90 with 200tdi engine and lt77, bled the system and set up the clutch pedal height, all seemed well but I have trouble engaging 3rd and 5th gear, we have bled it again and no air in system and I changed the gearbox and transfer box oils and I altered the bias spring and it slides in and out of gears ok with engine off, could it just be coincidence and my gearbox is knackered, I have had the 90 around 3 years and the box has always been a bit noisy, is there anything else I could check before going down the new box route, any help appreciated I not sure what else I could check.

What was the change like before new clutch went in ? Any thing in the oil when you changed it ?

Update was racking my brains and searching through posts on here and read about checking the yoke under the gearstick to make sure grub screw was in tight, anyway when I took the cover off I found I must of dropped 1 of the large self tapping screws from the tunnel cover and it was jamming underneath the yoke/cup, removed screw took for a drive , perfect now.
