Hello everyone!

Just had a mate text somehow his gear stick has snapped?? Don't know how. Anyway I've got a disco I'm breaking how hard is it to remove the gear stick from the gearbox? It was a 200tdi so think its the lt77
Any help woul be appreciated

If its the same as a 300(and I think it is) you unclip the gaiter from round the base of the gearstick, where it clips into the console. Lift the gaiter, there is a bolt that secure the top part of the gearstick to the bottom. Undo said bolt and the top part will lift off. The bolt is 13mm I think. Hope this helps

Just spoke to the lad and its below that its snapped, surely that's not changeable?

You can just remove the selector and fit a new one. I've got one spare but not sure if I want to sell it

Is it easy to remove? I've got a gear box but he just wants the selector?

5 or 6 bolts. Look at my kingcab thread for instructions

Well that was a lot easier than I imagined it to be. I'm basically a gearbox builder now haha. Cheers for your help everyone
