What a bitch trying to get it into 3rd gear sometimes (300 TDI, 1998, manual). I changed the clutch and fork recently and I still have the centre console out so I'm thinking about trying to fix the problem. There's lots of play between the gears and sometimes I can't find third at all when coming up from second. So what do I need to buy and how easy is it to replace? anybody experience this and how was it sorted?

had the same with mine plazi bush and cup on bottom of lever had broke up dodle to change.

Cheers for the reply, any idea what the parts are called (or numbers) so I can look them up on ebay or a motor factors shop?

Not sure Fella but if you ring any good independant and explain that it,s the 2 bushes on bottom of lever (one black one white ) if i remember right. Think they came in a kit.
