That's, sadly, normal. It's rung, from abuse. Not welded at all. Buy a new one, remove with a visegrips, and replace.
 
You need to get it out. Easing oil like RP90 and a good soak may do it along with some Irwin bolt grippers [ well worth having for other jobs as well ]
Other way some heat from a blowlamp [ not to much case is alloy] and a Stillson wrench.

I would not buy a new bung yet, wait until you have removed the old one, as later ones are somehting like half inch bs thread, earlier ones are much smaller Iirc eighth bs thread, the eighth bs thread use a really small square drive, something like 9mm square maybe smaller, they are always overtightened!

I have another knackered box but the one in that does look a lot bigger, will get this out first then try it.
 
The square in the end of a half inch socket extension fits those plugs, adjustable spanner on other end.
